I have been seeing Lisa now for almost a year for various physical, emotional, and spiritual things that have come up. Every time I have gone in to work with Lisa, I leave feeling like whatever issue I brought in was addressed and then some. I feel so comfortable with her which helps me to speak to so many things I am experiencing - she is very attentive and extremely intuitive. She understands the issues deeply and how they may take time to unravel and she approaches in a non judgmental and compassionate way. I am honored to be able to get the more soulful and spiritual approach while attending to how it all culminates in the body. Do not pass up the opportunity to work with her.

What is so important about Lisa’s practice is how she can go inward, feel your pulses, listen to your body, and make a difference without you even saying a word.

A Unique Approach to Healing

Lisa has been working with clients in Evergreen since 2008 and has been practicing Chinese medicine since 2004. Her approach is founded on over two decades of finding a personalized solution for the individuals who come into her clinic.

Training

Lisa completed her four year graduate education at Southwest Acupuncture College which included over 3,300 hours of training in the five branches of Oriental Medicine. She is a designated Diplomate of Oriental Medicine by the National Committee for the Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and is a licensed acupuncturist in the state of Colorado.

Lisa has advanced clinical training in the treatment of addiction and trauma, mental health, sports medicine, women’s health, NAET allergy elimination and is a NADA trained addictions specialist. Treatment may also include adjunctive therapies such as auriculotherapy, nutrition and lifestyle recommendations, cupping, electrical stimulation, Tuina and Shiatsu. Lisa is also a certified Satori lifestyle coach. She has a Bachelor of Science in psychology and communications and has over eight years of experience working as a counselor.

Specialization

Lisa specializes in teaching people about the connection between their physical health, their emotions and mental state, and their history. She has specialized training in pulse diagnosis and treats the root of imbalance causing the chief complaint (why people seek treatment).

Symptoms are the body’s way to communicate that something is out of balance, thus the term dis-ease. Through this type of treatment the entire body is balanced, leading to a decrease in the main complaint as well as improvement with other issues.

Personal Journey

Lisa pursued the field of Oriental Medicine after her own experience using the medicine after two car accidents within six months, leading to multiple surgeries and years of various struggles. She understands first hand the hurt and frustration of being compromised by pain and illness. Lisa strongly believes that empowering patients allows them to take charge of their health.

Lisa's Approach

Lisa explains "As a practitioner, I facilitate the process of “helping the body heal itself” by treating the cause of disease, which may manifest differently in each person. I provide a safe and non-judgmental environment that supports the patient’s inner healing process. My goal is for individuals to be cared for, listened to, and educated about their health condition. I use very small acupuncture needles and usually do a pain free needle technique called free hand needling."

Lisa also incorporates some coaching techniques so patients understand the connection between their symptoms and their daily lifestyle; whether it be diet, stress, ergonomics, posture, lack of exercise, emotions, etc. She hopes to inspire a better quality of life and well-being for patients through balance and integration of mind, body and spirit.
